This 3.3V 8 channel RTD100 temperature sensor HAT kit is a great addition to your Raspberry Pi 3/4 and Compute Module 4. It is designed to provide accurate temperature readings using 2/3/4 wire RTD 100 probes. It uses up to 8 of the 3.3V RTD100 modules that "Snap" into the HAT sockets. The sensor function is specifically for temperature, and it operates on DC current type. The output type is digital, and it is suitable for DIY educational applications as well home automation. It has applications in various industries such as industrial automation and motion controls. It also has applications in business and industrial settings.  

 

Power to the board is provided internally by the Raspberry Pi and if desired, externally using a 3.3V regulated power supply using an onboard jumper. 8 Status LEDs provide indication that each RTD100 module is active.  The RTD100 modules firmly "Snap" into the female rows of 8-Pin sockets located on the top of the board.  The Raspberry Pi is firmly mounted underneath using brass spacers.

 

Python3 and C Drivers and a simple 8-Channel Basic demo application that provides temperature data collection to a file are provided, that work on a Raspberry Pi 3/4 using the SPI protocol with purchase.

Please note that the 3.3V RTD100 Module shown in the photos is not included for this board and must be purchased separately and requires additional Raspberry Pi 3/4 microcontroller and RTD100 2/3/4 wire Temperature probes that the user must provide or purchase.    

 

Please note that this is a low power 3.3V version designed to work specifically with the Raspberry Pi 3/4 microcontrollers and requires partial assembly of soldering pin sockets and pin headers and a HAT connector to the PCB board. It cannot be connected to 5.0V devices.
